Monitors

We are in need of monitors for three day a week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, to replace people who are not available this term. Mrs Mc Phail, who has been monitoring Mondays and Tuesdays has had a stroke and is recovering in hospital. Mrs Cullen who has been doing Thursdays has work to do on the farm this term. Thank you very much both to Mrs Mc Phail and to Mrs Cullen for the blessing of your hard work and commitment over the years, especially as both of you haven’t had children in the school for some time.

I would prefer people who can commit to a day a week but I am happy to schedule people on as and when they are available. I would prefer people who have completed the monitor training but we will run more training if required. If you have young children you are still welcome, we are a child friendly work place and we welcome under-fives if you can’t find a sitter.

Work hours are from 8.30 to 12.30 but we are flexible if need be. Monitors are vital to the running of the school and any help you can give will be greatly appreciated by the staff and students.

Convention Photography Zoo Trip

The Zoo trip will be Tuesday the 8th of August which is week three. Only the students who have chosen to do Photography for Convention will go on the trip. Permission forms will be sent out next week.

40 Hour Famine

Thanks to all those who supported the famine fundraising. This year our students raised $1251.00 which is a great effort for a small school. This brings our giving to under privileged children around the world to over $2000.00 a year when added to the $900.00 that goes to support our two Dove fund children. Well don everyone.

Scrap Metal

I need someone to take our Aluminium cans to the scrap dealer in Whangarei.  It is not worth a special trip. If you are going up and you have room in your vehicle and a few spare minutes please see me. There are three full drums of cans.

Convention Parent Help

Up until this week we had an adult male and a female to help out at Convention, but through unforeseen circumstances they are no longer available. We need both a male and a female helper to go to Convention so please let us know if you can come. You will find the trip a valuable and rewarding time. Adults going on the trip will need to pay the camp fee. For more details see Mrs Bell. Convention is in week 8, Monday the 11th to Friday the 15th of September.
