Newsletter Term 4 Week 7

News Letter Week 7 Term 4

School Photos

We have had some amazing school photos taken recently. If you didn’t place your order last term and you would like a copy, please send a memory card or stick to school with $10 in a sealed envelope with your surname written on the front. The photos we took were: All the students (sample attached), all the seniors, all the juniors, all the students plus the teachers, and also some silly face photos.

Term End

This is a 9 Week term and we are in week 7 so there are only 2 weeks of school left this year. We are currently planning to have prizegiving on the night of Tuesday the 12 December followed by Honour roll on Wednesday the 13th and a working bee on the Thursday the 14th to get the school ready for the coming year. The high school busses will stop on Tuesday the 12th so parents will need to bring students to school after that.

Readers and Monitors

The last day for readers and monitors will be Monday the 11th Week 9

Prize giving will be in the Church at 7.00pm on Tuesday the 12th.  Students need to be at school at 6.15 for final preparations.

Working bee will be from 8 till 5 Please come along for as long as you can and see Mr Bell to find out what needs to be done.

Honour Roll

Honour roll is planned for Wednesday the 12 December. We will need parent help and transport. More info on Monday. There are still several students needing to say memory verses, to earn the right to go.

Next year

As many of you already know three of my children are getting married next year. Toni in January, Matthew on the 26 of May in Dunedin, and Leigh in September in Cancun Mexico. Mrs Bell and I will be flying down to Dunedin a few days before the May wedding so there could be some disruption to school. We will also be flying to Mexico in September and I will be looking at extending the third term holidays to give us more time away. This is all subject to change until I have a final date for the Mexico wedding. The last wedding may also clash with Convention so we may need parents to help out there.

Helpers Lunch

There will be a lunch to thank all those who have helped out at the school this year on Friday the 8th, at 12.00, in the church hall.

We have been informed that ERO will be visiting in May next year, hopefully before the Wedding.

Planning for Next Year

It’s important to know how many students we will be starting 2018 with, so we can have the learning centres set up and the PACES ready to go. If you know of anyone who may be wanting to start at our school next year or if your child is moving on please let me know as soon as possible.
